A low wattage light should be used to attract the baby chicks to the heating element, feed and water. Red lights were used for years and are still preferred by most breeders. Red bulbs help decrease pecking problems in your brooder. This is a replacement bulb for the chick and quail brooder (Item # CQB20) or with any standard light bulb socket.
