This jar base is designed with a smaller trough for quail, bantams, pheasants, or other tiny birds. Trough is 1/2 ' wide x 1/2" deep to prevent drowning. Pair with a standard small-mouth canning jar and if glass is not an option use the 1-Quart Plastic Jar #P1QT.
