They have black and reddish gold barring. Head and neck feathers are golden bay color. Campines are white egg layers that originated in Belgium. They are alert birds with close-fitting feathers, white skin color, white earlobes, and grayish-blue legs. Bred primarily as layers they tend to not sit on their eggs. Average mature weight: roosters 6 lbs.; hens 4 lbs.
