These gorgeous chickens originated in Japan, where they have been bred for centuries. They can grow exceptionally long, flowing tails. To improve the tail length and condition, people who keep these birds often provide them with perches to help them stay clean. Golden Phoenix have a white head with golden back, main tail is black, black and white in wings. Hens are silvery gray with black tails and dark brown wings.Average mature weight: roosters 5 1/2 lbs., hens 4 lbs.
