Friendly, gentle, and great layers, September 27, 2008 Reviewer: Nancy from OH My three pullets are such a pleasure and have been a really great experience for me as a first time chicken owner. I picked them up at the hatchery in June, and within a month all 3 were laying an egg just about every day. They are very friendly, calm, curious, and very pleasant to be around. They are quiet birds who do not bother my neighbors at all. They come to greet me and seem to enjoy spending time with me- definitely are not flighty. All eagerly eat from my hand, and they enjoy foraging for greens and are quick to catch any sort of bug, slug, or spider. In short, I highly recommend these very sweet birds, both for people who would like pet hens as well as people who need to be practical about egg production.
