These also go by the descriptive name "Naked-neck chickens". They are bred to resemble turkeys, but are no relation! Turkins have fewer feathers than other chickens, which makes them easier to pluck. They lay a fair sized egg, are cold hardy and take the heat better. Assorted colors available. Average mature weight: Roosters 8 1/2 lbs., hens 6 1/2 lbs.
