Customer Support Team Member II - Remote

Job Description:
Meyer Hatchery is looking for a few great peeps to fill a Customer Support position. This is a remote position with flexibility in the schedule. This position is primarily customer service. You will be responsible for answering inbound calls, chats and emails from our customers that are browsing the Meyer Hatchery website. You might be answering questions about poultry and/or supplies, assisting customers with placing orders and answering general order questions, recommending a starter flock, or helping an experienced flock owner. If you don’t know the answer, be prepared to tap the vast knowledge of the internet to assist you in your responses. Additional secondary responsibilities will include content curation for the website in the form of blog posts, product descriptions, help desk content, and social media posts. 

Employment Type:
Part-time to full-time hours--looking primarily for evening and weekend availability. 
Must be flexible in schedule.
$10.00/hourly.
This is a seasonal position with the potential to go permanent. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Accept inbound customer calls and return web request for calls and/or voicemails
Respond to multiple incoming live chats.
Respond to customer emails in a timely fashion.
Determine customer needs and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.
Document and follow up as needed.
Be an active, engaged, and fun participant of the remote team. 
Other duties as needed.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to customers via social media channels.
Curate social media content.
Write educational blogs, help desk material, and product descriptions.

Qualifications:
Type at least 60 WPM with minimal errors.
Excellent grammar and spelling proficiency as well as awesome communication skills over all mediums. 
Above average computer skills and technical aptitude.
Previous remote experience a plus.
Cloud-based application experience. 
Must be able to multitask, think fast, have self-discipline and drive. 

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 
For tax reasons, the applicant cannot live in the states of NY or CA.
BYOD! You will supply your own computer, hardware, and other equipment needed to perform the job. A modern computer with an HD webcam and high-speed Internet is required.
Experience with poultry.
