Meyer Hatchery Retail Store Team Member

Job Description:
Meyer Hatchery is looking for an awesome Retail Store Team Member. Job will consist of greeting customers as they walk into our store, assessing needs and offering recommendations, ringing up their purchases, helping them with chick pickup orders, all while providing the best customer service. The ideal person will be friendly, fast, knowledgeable and available full time day hours, including a rotating Saturday morning. The Meyer Hatchery retail store is located in Polk, Ohio. 

Employment Type:
Full-time hours.
Saturday mornings required
$10.00/hourly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Welcome customers to the store.
Determine customer needs, suggest products and recommendations and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.
Enter customer details into our POS, process payments, provide change, accurately and efficiently. 
Document and follow up as needed.
Balancing Cash Drawer
Answering phone calls.
Assist with inventory, stocking, packaging, moving product, creating displays.
Monitoring the well-being and providing care for any lives in the store such as chicks, poults, ducklings, etc.
Keep the store clean and inviting.
Be a team player--may assist in other departments when needed such as call center, shipping, packing, etc.
Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Bending, crouching, climbing a ladder, sweeping and mopping.
Lifting, using hand, arm, and shoulder movement repeatedly. 
Ability to stand 8+ hours/day.
Adaptable to indoor and outdoor conditions.
Basic computer aptitude and skills.
Basic math skills
Must be able to multitask, think fast, have self-discipline and drive. 
Previous retail experience a plus.
Poultry experience a plus.
