Barred Plymouth Rock Chicks

Looking to get a jump start on laying? Order our Started Barred Plymouth Rock Pullets. They are 16-20 weeks of age! Barred Plymouth Rocks are also available in a smaller, bantam variety

Barred Plymouth Rock Chickens are an old-time favorite brown egg layer as well as a popular dual purpose breed. The Plymouth Rock breed is very friendly and does well in cold weather. Plymouth Rock Chickens have high egg production, a meaty body, a docile personality, and good hardiness, all characteristics that are desired in a great flock. These lovely birds have black and white barred feathers, with the roosters slightly lighter in color than the hens.

Average mature weight: roosters 7 to 7 1/2 lbs.; hens 6 lbs. Bantam size also available.
