Don’t let its small size fool you, this charming breed is one of the most prolific layers of large brown eggs! Known by many names, such as Golden Comet, ISA Brown, Cinnamon Queen, Red Sex Link, and Red Star, the Golden Buff lays an average of 7 eggs per week. As a day old chick, this breed can be identified as either male or female by it its feather coloring (sex-linked). The mature Golden Buff female features muted red feathers with white tail feathers while the males have a mostly white body with buff-colored accents along the hackle and saddle feathers, wings, and tail. Our Golden Buffs include the genetic lines of the Leghorn and Rhode Island Red.
