Olive Eggers are an exciting breed of chickens that typically lay various shades of olive colored eggs. They are created by crossing a dark brown egg layer with a blue egg layer. Meyer Hatchery uses a variety of parent breeds to create several strains of Olive Eggers. Our F1 generation hybrids do typically lay an olive colored egg, however, the olive can be in various shades and the potential does exist to lay eggs of different colors such as tinted, brown, etc.
You may receive some chicks from each breeding program if you order multiple chicks, and you are not able to specify from which breeding program your chicks will originate. You will be delighted by the varied color patterns of these chicks and their beautiful and plentiful eggs. Olive Eggers will lay around 180 to 200 eggs per year.
